    The Mill Stone

    Learn about a mill stone, it is a large, circular stone used in ancient and traditional milling processes to grind grains into flour. Typically made from hard, durable materials like granite or basalt, mill stones consist of two parts: a stationary base stone and a rotating top stone. The grain is fed through the central hole of the top stone and ground between the two surfaces as the top stone rotates.
